    Course Description: This 3-hour workshop about Moodle in AI is intended for Educators who are already teaching with Moodle. Ideally teachers who have already completed the training Basics of Moodle for Teachers but not a strict requirement. Participants will gain understanding on what Generative AI is, write effective AI prompts for tools such as Chat GPT, use AI to enhance Moodle courses, and how teachers and your learners can use AI responsibly.

    Methodologies: Discussion, Demonstration, and Hands-on activity.

    Learning Outcomes

    At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to;

      1. Explain briefly the key terms associated with AI including Large Language Model and Prompt engineering.

      2. Provide examples of effective prompts;

      3. Identify at least four AI tools useful in their teaching;

      4. Identify a number of ways AI can help enhance their Moodle courses, and

      5. Outline the main ethical issues relating to generative AI.

    3. Discuss what is a Large Language Model is and how it differs from a Google search;

    Module 3: Write good prompts

    1. Explain what Prompt engineering means;

    2. Explain what Hallucinations are;

    3. Demonstrate the importance of writing good prompts;

    4. Apply tips for writing effective prompts.

    Module 4: Teaching Ideas

    1. Explore the limitations of using AI in your Moodle courses.

    2. Explore tips for generating course outlines.

    3. Explore tips for generating course content.

    4. Create prompts for generating Moodle Quiz questions.

    5. Create prompts for generating Moodle Glossaries.

    6. Create prompts for generating Moodle Lesson activities.

    7. Explore tips for generating Forum discussion posts.

    8. Create prompts for generating Moodle assignments.

    9. Explore tips for differentiation and reflection.

    Module 5: AI Ethics

    1. Explore why we need to consider ethics when using AI tools;

    2. Explore what we should think about as a teacher;

    3. Find out what we should consider regarding our learners.

    4. Check what we should think about when discussing guidelines and policies within our organisation.
