Rethinking German Language Training - A Learner-First Approach for Aspiring Overseas Professionals in the Philippines
Course Description:
Most German language courses promise results but overlook the lived realities of busy Filipino professionals preparing for overseas work. From our experience and conversations across the industry, many A1-level learners—often more than two thirds—never reach B2 certification or deployment. In this talk, we present a learner-first approach built for aspiring overseas workers with demanding schedules, limited time, and high personal stakes.
Drawing from a background in airline training and our work as an online startup, we’ll share how we use Moodle as the backbone of a structured, emotionally sustainable learning environment. Through block-by-block progression, embedded spaced repetition, and clean design, we help restore clarity and motivation to an overwhelming process. Attendees will take away practical Moodle-based strategies for building momentum, autonomy, and long-term learner success.
